Terms of Service

By using this app you agree to these terms. They're short — the waffle is what matters.

1. The service

This app is operated by The Belgian Waffle Xpress ("TBWX"). It lets you place pickup or delivery orders from any of our outlets. Orders are subject to outlet availability, payment success, and our right to refuse service for fraud or abuse.

2. Ordering and payment

  • Prices include applicable GST.
  • Payment is collected via Razorpay; we don't store your card details.
  • Modifications are only possible before the outlet accepts the order. Once accepted, ingredients are committed.

3. Refunds

We refund within 24 hours if an order is cancelled before kitchen acceptance or if a defect is reported within 30 minutes of pickup / delivery. Razorpay typically returns funds to your account within 5-7 working days after our refund is initiated.

4. Delivery

Delivery is via third-party riders (Porter / Shadowfax). ETAs are estimates, not guarantees. We're responsible until handover; the rider is responsible from pickup until delivery to your address.

5. Loyalty (Waffle Coins)

  • 1 coin per ₹10 spent (subtotal, after discounts)
  • 1 coin redeems for ₹1 off, capped at 20% of order subtotal
  • Welcome bonus of 100 coins on your first paid order
  • Coins expire 12 months from earning. Tier benefits reassess every 90 days.
  • We may freeze or recover coins earned through fraud (e.g. cancelled orders).

6. Referrals

When a friend places their first paid order using your referral code, you receive 50 Waffle Coins and they receive ₹75 off. One referral per phone number; referrals from yourself or shared device are void.

7. Acceptable use

Don't try to abuse promos (multiple accounts per phone, fake referrals, etc.). We reserve the right to cancel orders and freeze coins for fraud.

8. Service availability

The app may be unavailable for maintenance or due to factors outside our control (network, payment gateway, etc.). We don't promise 100% uptime.

9. Liability

We're liable for the order itself (correct items, food safety per FSSAI). For matters outside the food and its delivery — third-party apps, your device, network — we accept no liability beyond the order amount.

10. Disputes

Indian law governs these terms. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Chandigarh.
